ECO & U.S.A. FRIENDLY: I love the Earth and want to do my part to keeps jobs in the US. Therefore, I have made my office eco-friendly and am a Keep the Sierra Green Business Leader. For print projects, I work with many eco-friendly printers who are all US based. For more involved projects, I work with a tremendous, Truckee-based team (NO over-seas out-sourcing like many designers!).
GIVING BACK: Choosing me also helps many non-profits. I regularly donate to many non-profit organizations, including Truckee River Watershed Council, SOS Glenshire, Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Foundation, South Lake Tahoe Earth Day Foundation, and the Human Society of Truckee Tahoe. I am also a member of NRDC and the Access Fund.
People often ask me how I can be both an artist AND do something so left-brained like web design and marketing. I absolutely love to push myself creatively AND I am passionate about finding ways to help people pursue their own business visions.
Talking about business growth tactics and finding new design ideas are passions that I fuel by subscribing to endless design and marketing blogs, newsletters, and forums. You can expect to find me talking to a new entrepreneur about new marketing ideas while at the pool with my daughter or in line at the grocery store. I am so enthusiastic about helping people go after their business dream that the ideas just bubble out of me. I get excited about people’s goals and even more excited about how I can align their website and marketing collateral to their vision.

TEAM ZIMMERMAN
Rob has been working with computers since the early days of the Apple IIE. He has managed computer networks for schools and offices, provided Apple technical support, run an independent Apple Service and Education company, and spent countless hours messing around with Apple hardware and software and the great expanse of the internet. He wears many behind-the-scenes hats at Sara Zimmerman Art, Illustration and Design, including, but not limited to:
- programming, including html, css, php, MySQL, and JavaScript (and WordPress, Joomla)
- server administration
- domain and hosting setup and management (and email support)
- sales and support
- and general problem-solving
When he’s not sitting in front of a computer, he is spending time with me, our daughter, climbing, camping, or mountain biking.
For larger projects, I also work with some incredible programmers, search engine optimization gurus, content writers, photographers, and editors in the Truckee and US West Coast region.
